6- How To Perform Hair Transplant Operation

Before the surgery, the patient’s frontal hairline and the area to be sown are drawn and planned, and the new hair line is shown against the mirror. Afterwards, the hair is shaved by our staff in our hospital.

After this step, local anesthesia is applied. FUE hairtransplantation can last from 5 to 8 hours, depending on the number of grafts transplanted.

Short breaks can be given . At the same time, the patient can watch TV and listen to music during the operation.

FUE hairtransplantation consists of four(4) stages :

  • Collecting graft from donor area

The grafts are collected using a micro motor system. The punch size of the micro motor is adjusted according to the thickness of the hair root and this stage is completed by collecting the hair roots.

  • Counting of grafts

The grafts taken from the patient are separated and counted as triple, double and single. At this stage, a short break is given. The patient clears the food and personal needs.

  • Micro Slit incision

Then the channel is opened according to the thickness and length of the hair roots in the field where grafts collected will be transported. The angle, frequency and depth of the channels to be opened at this stage are very important. Hair roots that exist in the area where the procedure is to be performed should be protected. The area we give the hairline name on the front ,hairs growth in 45 to 50 degrees. The channels to be opened in this area are very important for the natural appearance after hair transplantation.

  • Graft placement

Collected grafts should be placed in the direction of the channel. It should be placed so that the facing upwards relative to its outer surface. Grafts are very sensitive by nature. For this reason, micro-surgical techniques should be used. The new hair follicles are 100% prolonged and permanent. The FUE technique is extremely sensitive and serious. Experience is very important. Undoubtedly, this operation should be performed only by physicians and specialists.
