Beard And Mustache Transplantation

Beard And Mustache Transplantation

Nowadays, beard and mustache transplantations have also become as popular as at least hair transplantation.

Hair loss in the upper lip in men, requires a mustache transplant.

Facial hair transplant is generally done on the men who suffer from spotty or patchy loss of beard, sideburns or moustache.

Hair follicles to be planted instead of mustache are taken from the nape as in the procedure of hair transplantation. Then, each of the hair follicles are transplanted in the areas with a lack of mustache.

The hair follicles that are transplanted retain their power in the mustache area and the hairs continue to grow. A hair follicle anchors each hair into the skin. The hair bulb forms the base of the hair follicle. Hair follicles cannot be fed if they are planted very close to each other. Therefore, the transplanting frequency should be enough to provide feeding.

Hair follicles are fed and the hair follicles begin to grow (4-6 months later), if there is a sparse mustache area, they can be transplanted again.

In the area of the mustache, scarring, surgery, burn marks, shedding, such as problems can be almost camouflaged with mustache transplant.

Only FUE method should be applied for mustache transplant because the results in the FUT method are not satisfactory.

The hair follicles taken with 0.6-0.7 mm punches should be sutured at the same time with the help of the other medical instruments. In this way, the transplanting time becomes shorter and roots can stay alive.

If the used needle tips are very thin, there is no indication that there will be any trace because of transplanting.

With FUE method, even your barber cannot understand your past surgery.

Beard Transplantation

The roots in the strong part of the beard can be taken and transplanting can be done to tighten the lesser areas of the beard. There will be no traces if once again the 0.6-0.7 mm punches used.

It also has an advantage like permanent epilation because the roots are taken from the unwanted areas.

The beard is not like hair and can be so much different from one to another. A person with a little beard loss may not be uncomfortable. For this reason, beard transplantation is often not needed for so many people. However if there is a regional beard loss, transplantation is the only way to fix this situation.

When the area is washed the next day, there will not be a significant problem but a pinkish appearance may occur in 1-2 weeks.

No trace is left in the body and neck area.

There may be a dark red appearance in the area because of the needles but it will gone forever after the first wash. The transplanted area is washed after 24-48 hours and beard becomes visible and 2-3 days beard appearance is formed

Beard and mustache, which continues to grow after transplant, may be shortened after the 15th day with scissors.

The first shaving should preferably be done after 1 month for the roots to hold sufficiently.

After the 2nd week, a part of the beard and mustache has a temporary loss called shock loss.

After 4 to 6 months of temporary loss, all of the hair are reappeared.

The quality increase in hair root continues for up to 2 years.
